The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 16.05.2025, in connection with Crime No. 267 of 2025 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 125, 126(2), 296(b), 309(4), 311, 324(2) and 351(3) of BNS, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the accused waylaid the de facto complainant and by intimidating him at knife point, robbed a sum of Rs.500/- from him. Hence the case.

3. The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) reiterated the prosecution case and strongly opposed for granting bail to the petitioner stating that the petitioner is a habitual offender having 39 previous cases.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
