Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to draw up the inter-se seniority list in the cadre of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category-1) of class-II, by placing the directly recruited Deputy Superintendent of Police, like the petitioners belonging to the 2000-2001 Batch as seniors to the temporarily appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police whose service are not yet regularised and consequently consider grant of promotions to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police by drawing up panel on the basis of aforesaid seniority, together with all service benefits respectively.
