Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.08.2010 and promote him to the post of Forester w.e.f. the date of his junior on 06.08.2010 was promoted as per proceedings dated 06.08.2010 vide Ref.No.AB1/42510/2010 without reference to the pending of C.C.No.366 of 1996(now re-opened and re-numbered as C..C.No.142 of 2009 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Perambalur. The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the writ petition, the respondents have promoted the writ petitioner and therefore, no further adjudication is required in respect of other consequential benefits. The writ petitioner is at liberty to submit appropriate representation to the competent officials and on receipt of the same, the respondents are at liberty to consider the same and in accordance with law.

2.With these observations, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
