Respondents PRAYER: This Writ petition came to be numbered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by way of transfer of O.A.No.2335 of 2004 from the file of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the panel of Middle School Head Masters as on 01.01.2004 issued by the second respondent on 22.03.2004 and direct the second respondent to place the third respondent below the applicant in the said panel and grant all consequential benefits to the applicant.

The O. A. No.2335 of 2004 filed before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Chennai, by Tmt. A. Chandra, seeking promotion as Middle School Headmasters came on transfer to this Court as W.P. No. 18328 of 2007.

2. When the matter was taken up, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he is not in a position to contact his client inspite of repeated steps/ communication sent by him and requested that the department may be directed to find out the status of the previous O.A. No. 5004/1994.

3. In reply, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner was given promotion to the post of Middle School Headmistress on 27.11.2006 and thereafter she opted for voluntary retirement and was relieved from service on 30.04.2009. She was granted monetary benefits with effect from 01.01.2011. Therefore, nothing survives in the writ petition.

4. Recording the statement made by learned Additional Government Pleader that the petitioner has been given promotion as Middle School Headmistress on 27.11.2006 and the petitioner has retired from service, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
