ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to investigate and file final report in Crime No.361 of 2016 pending on his file within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he proposed to sell his car and knowing the same, one Rajeshkumar, a car dealer, contacted him and assured him to sell his car. Believing his words, the petitioner handed over his car along with all relevant documents to the said Rajeshkumar. However, all of a sudden, the said Rajeshkumar vacated his premises. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Immediately, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent police and on receipt of the same, a case was registered in Crime No.361 of 2016. Though the FIR was registered, the second respondent has not taken any tangible steps to recover the vehicle nor proceeding with the investigation. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.361 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
