W.P.No.30780 of 2013:

Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of certiorari to call for the records of the third respondent in its proceedings No.42989/PR13/1994 dated 31.10.2013, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to retire the petitioner from service with effect from the afternoon of 31.10.2013 and also grant all the retiral terminal benefits due and payable to him.

Advocate General assisted by Mr.L.P.Shanmuga Sundaram, Standing Counsel COMMON ORDER It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that W.P.No.29750 of 2013 has been filed, challenging the order of suspension and W.P.No.30780 of 2013 has been filed, challenging the order not permitting the petitioner to retire from service. During the pendency of the writ petitions, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the suspension order has been revoked and the petitioner was also permitted to retire with effect from the original date of superannuation on 31.10.2013.

2.In the said circumstances, there is nothing left for adjudication by this Court in both the writ petitions. Therefore, these writ petitions are closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 3.While closing the writ petitions, it is observed that whatever the terminal benefits that are due to the petitioner may be settled as expeditiously as possible, not beyond the period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in case, the terminal benefits have not already been settled.
