Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned proceedings dt.26.07.2023 passed in the Petitioner's Application Reference No.200095250723259 on the file of the 1st Respondent herein, quash the same and consequently direct the 1st Respondent herein to grant Electricity Service Connection to the Petitioner's house bearing No.33 in S.F.No.152, Bharathiyar Street, Morappakkam Village, Madurantagam Taluk, Chengalpet District within a stipulated period.

ORDER

The petitioner has applied for an electricity connection to his premises to the TANGEDCO and Vide the impugned proceedings, the TANGEDCO has put it on hold due to some objection from the second respondent herein.

2.Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel for TNEB takes notice for the first respondent.

3.The learned counsel for the first respondent made a statement on instructions that both the petitioner and the second respondent show patta for the same property and hence, the first respondent is now seeking an opinion from the Tahsildar concerned.

4.The said statement is recorded.

5.The first respondent is now required to conclude the enquiry, which he has now initiated and is also required to give a proper and effective right of hearing to both the petitioner and the second respondent herein and decide the issue within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
