2016-12-21Honourable Dr. Justice P. Devadass3 pages

CRL.O.P.No.26960 of 2016 Dr.P.DEVADASS, J., Petition for anticipatory bail in C.C.No.3174 of 2011 for offence under Sections 498(A), 406, 506(i) r/w 34 of I.P.C. (Crime No.2 of 2011).

2. Heard both sides.

3.The petitioner is the first accused in this case. Earlier in Crl.O.P.No.11369 of 2011, he was granted anticipatory bail with a condition to execute bail bond within 15 days. This order is of the year 2011. Now, much water has flown under the bridge, since the passing of this order. Investigation is over, final report filed, C.C.Number given, trial is also going on. Now, he is going to come down to Chennai from Dubai. In these circumstances, if he lands possibility of he being landup in jail cannot be ruled out. Now the petitioner is placed in a grim situation.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will engage a defence counsel and defend himself before the trial court and seeks an opportunity.
