ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed to issue suitable directions to the respondent police not to harass and torture the petitioners and not to criminally intimidate them in connection with the petitioners' complaint dated 28.11.2016.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that they have given a complaint dated 28.11.2016 to the respondent police seeking to separate the sons of the petitioners 1 and 2 viz., S.Gopinath from the custody of the Female Ward Councillor. After receipt of the said complaint, the respondent police, instead of taking action on the said complaint, has been high handedly threatening, harassing and torturing the petitioners as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
if the said S.Gopinath has stolen away 16 sovereigns of gold jewels and gave the same to the second petitioner. Hence, the present petition.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no such harassment was made by the respondent police and only based on the complaint given by the petitioners, the respondent police is conducting investigation and the petitioners are required to cooperate with the police authorities with regard to the investigation to be conducted.
4. The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded. Since there is no harassment by the respondent police, the present criminal original petition is closed.
