ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the written representation made by the petitioner on 07.06.2022.

2. The petitioner was working as Noon Meal Organiser from 02.04.1983 and he worked for long years and retired on 31.03.2019, he lastly served at Thirukadaiyur Government Higher Secondary School. The petitioner thereafter was paid the pensionary benefits continuously by the respondent. However from the month of May 2022 the pension has been abruptly stopped, according to him, therefore in order to get the pensionary benefits and general provident fund, continuously the petitioner has given a representation on 07.06.2022, the same since has not been considered, he has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.G.Ameedius, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would contend that the said representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2022 would be decided on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:

That there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2022 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
