O R D E R
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2023 and provide adequate compensation to the petitioner's land and cement sheeted House comprised in Natham Survey No.411/8, admeasuring to an extent of 0.0347 square meter, situated in No.9/1, Pillayar Koil Street, Solaikuppam Village, Perumalcherry Post, Thirukkazhukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District, which has been proposed to acquire the Puducherry-Mamallapuram Corridor Project.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents relying on the Status Report filed by the 3rd respondent/Special Tahsildhar (Land Acquisition) contented that the compensation determined will be paid in favour of the writ petitioner within
a period of eight weeks on proper accounts or initiate to settle the compensation in favour of the writ petitioner.
3. In view of the Status Report filed by the 3rd respondent, the respondents are directed to settle the compensation due to the writ petitioner in accordance with the provision of the Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
