O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for transfer of investigation.

2. The main grievance that was expressed by learned counsel for petitioner is that the de facto complainant has not been called for enquiry and no statement has been recorded and there has been slackness on the part of the respondent police in proceeding with the investigation.

3. In view of the above stand taken by the petitioner, this Court passed an order on 24.08.2023 in the following terms: "Post this case under the same caption on 31.08.2023.

2. In the meantime, the de facto complainant shall attend the enquiry before the respondent-police and her statement will be recorded with all the relevant materials."

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the de facto complainant attended the enquiry before the respondent police and her statement was recorded and the de facto complainant submitted the relevant materials before the respondent 2/4

police.

5. In the light of the above development, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to effectively proceed further with the investigation and complete the same and file a final report or a closure report, as the case may be, within a period of four (4) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
