ORDER
By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The writ petition is filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to treat the petitioner as a linguistic minority institution.
3. The petitioner Trust was incorporated as a public charitable trust by a Deed of Declaration of Trust dated 20.10.1983. The object of the Trust is for the betterment of Kamma Naidu Telugu Linguistic Minority living in the State of Tamil Nadu by establishing educational institutions. The Trust runs the Sriram College of Arts and Science and other institutions. Appropriate affiliation has been granted by the University of Madras for various courses.
4. It is seen that a scheme decree rendered in C.S.No.1047 of 2010 dated 28.7.2011 by this Court has recognized the petitioner as a linguistic minority. It is also seen that the Board of Trustees has been appointed by order of this Court dated 28.7.2011 in the said scheme decree. Now, the application received *dated 9.08.2011 from the petitioner for grant of minority status to *Sriram Arts and Science College, Veppampattu, Tiruvallur District is pending consideration with respondent No.1. It is stated to be pending from 03.8.2012 onwards.
5. Considering the same, a direction is issued to the respondent No.1 to pass appropriate orders by taking into consideration of the scheme decree in C.S.No.1047 of 2010 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
