Heard Mr.G.Punniakoti, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.J.Sivakumar, learned Government Advocate, accepting notice on behalf of respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal.
2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to release the Tipper Lorry bearing Registration No.TN-19-B-8973 which was seized by the second respondent on 27.06.2016, by considering the representation, dated 22.08.2016.

3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the owner of the Heavy Goods Vehicle bearing Registration No.TN19-B-8973, which was seized by the second respondent on 27.06.2016, on the ground that the same was used for the purpose of transporting sand illegally. The petitioner made a representation dated 22.08.2016 for release of the vehicle and the same is yet to be disposed of by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court for the relief stated supra.
4. Mr.K.J.Sivakumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that there is no proof available for service of such representation to the respondents.
5. In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, permits the petitioner to submit a copy of the representation dated 22.08.2016 seeking release of the vehicle in question along with the copy of this order to the respondents within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
