By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner has applied for an electricity service connection for his agricultural activity in 2004, and seeks a direction to grant him an electricity connection.
3.Mr.S.Madhusudanan, the learned standing counsel for TNEB takes notice for the respondents, and made a statement, on instruction, that the petitioner has reached the seniority for the grant of free electricity for agricultural activity. The said statement is recorded.

4.Heard Mr.K.Vasanthanayagan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Madhusdanan, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.
5.This Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.06.2023, and dispose of the same within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of an online copy or the date on which the order is hosted in the official website, whichever is earlier. 6.The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
