The prayer sought for in the present petition is to call for the records, relating to the impugned order dated 12.04.2010 made in KA.NO. E.E.V.S.E. THO.NU.U.2/D.47/NA.1835/Application No.215/2010-11 Dated 12.04.2010 on the file of the respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to grant Electricity Service Connection for survey number 636/2, Sivagiri Village, considering the application bearing serial number 699/1988-89/dated 18.02.1989.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband had applied for Electricity Service Connection under Normal Scheme for his agricultural fields situated in Survey No. 633/4, Sivagiri Village, Erode Taluk. Accordingly, he was alloted serial no. 699/1988-89 dated 18.02.1989. Thereafter, he passed away on 25.03.2003. Subsequently, when the petitioner was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
required to give proforma to the respondent, mentioning the details of survey number and other particulars, she came to know that the existing electricity service connection was wrongly obtained by her husband for the survey no. 633/4, instead of 636/2. Hence, she represented the respondent to correct the survey no. 636/2 instead of survey no. 633/4. After receipt of the said representation, the respondent by letter dated 04.12.2009 sought for some clarifications from the petitioner. Though the petitioner submitted the required particulars, the respondent by proceedings dated 12.04.2010, refused to accord any change with regard to the survey number and rejected the petitioner's application. Aggrieved against the same, the present Writ Petition has been preferred by the petitioner.
3. Today, when the matter came up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's application would be considered by the respondent within a time to be stipulated by this Court.
4. The said statement is recorded. The respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2009 related to application No. 699/1988-89 dated 18.02.1989 and dispose of the same, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
