The petitioner sought for restoration of the land, which have been declared as surplus, under the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978 in pursuant of the decision rendered by this Court in W.P.No. 21939 of 2004, vide order dated 19.06.2012, as confirmed in W.A.No. 695 of 2015 dated 28.04.2015.

2.The learned Government Pleader produced a copy of the communication sent by the Principal Secretary/Commissioner, Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 the to respondent No.2, stating that instructions are awaited from the Government. The petitioner cannot be made to wait in an eternity when the Writ Appeal was dismissed on 28.04.2015 and nearly two years have elapsed. 3.In such view of the matter, a direction is issued to the Principal Secretary/ Commissioner, Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 to communicate the decision of the Government to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This writ petition stands disposed of.
