ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to file the Certificate of Sale dated 21.06.2022 in Book I as per Section 89(2) or 89(4) of the Registration Act, 1908.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner purchased the agricultural lands in S.F.Nos338/1A to an extent of 1 acre 10 1/3

cents and in 338/2 to an extent of 2 1⁄2 cents totalling to an extent of 1.12 1/3 acres situated at Anikkavu Village, Udumalpet Taluk, Coimbatore District vide auction purchase on 19.05.2022 and a Sale Certificate was issued to the petitioner on 21.06.2022 by the Recovery Officer, Debt Recovery Tribunal Coimbatore. Further, the aforesaid Officer vide letter dated 21.06.2022 sought the respondent to file the copy of the aforesaid certificate in Book I as stipulated under Section 89(4) of Indian Registration Act, 1908. However, till date, no action is forthcoming. Hence, he seeks appropriate orders.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and having regard to the submissions of the learned counsel, this Court directs the respondent to file the Certificate of Sale dated 21.06.2022 in Book I as per Section 89(2) or 89(4) of the Registration Act, 1908 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, on payment of requisite fees.
