ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to conduct a survey of the land comprised in Survey No.312/1 (0.37 hectares) and Survey No.312/2 (0.69 hectares), situated in Mukkulam Village, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's minor son Dhiwagaran is the absolute owner of the subject property by virtue of a Settlement Deed executed by the petitioner's husband i.e., minor's father Chinnavan @ Perumal, registered as Doc.No.103 of 2025 dated 13.01.2025 before the Sub Registrar, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District. Patta also stands in the name of the petitioner's minor son. The petitioner had thus taken out an online application on 18.03.2025 vide Challan No.2025/0123/05/009787, seeking to survey the subject property and has also paid necessary charges thereof. However, thereafter, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence, this writ petition. 2/5

On this being pointed out, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents would submit that they would consider the petitioner's online application dated 18.03.2025 and carry out a survey and complete the process within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 18.03.2025 and carry out a survey and complete the process within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
