PRAYER:

Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 08.10.2012 in the light of the orders passed in W.P.No.9467 of 2010 dated 05.05.2010 and till final decision is taken, not to disturb the running of the petitioner's shop situated at opposite to Ampit Park, Ampit Park Road, Ambathur Industrial Estate, Ambathur, Chennai by selling coffee, tea and allied food items.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to issue license to the petitioner's shop, situated opposite to Ambit Park, Ambit Road, Ambattur Industrial Estate, Ambattur, Chennai.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent and the standing counsel for the 2nd respondent.

3. It is submitted by the learned standing counsel for the 2nd respondent that the petitioner is said to have been running the business in the land belonging to the SIPCOT. So, the respondents have no authority to give licence to the petitioner in that area.
