JUDGMENT

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.B.Jagannath, learned counsel for the appellant; Mr.S.Thanka Sivan, learned counsel for the first respondent; Mr.A.Anandan, learned Government Advocate for respondents 2 to 6; and, Mr.V.Anandhamurthy, learned counsel for respondents 7 and 8.

2. A compromise was entered between the appellant and respondents 1, 7 and 8.

3. The appellant and respondents 1, 7 and 8 were referred to the Registrar (Judicial) to verify the terms of compromise and confirm the parties executing the compromise. The Registrar (Judicial) has submitted a report that the parties have agreed to the terms of compromise and they have signed in the joint compromise memo and their counsels have identified the appellant as well as respondents 1, 7 and 8.

4. In view of the above, the appeal amongst the appellant and respondents 1, 7 and 8 is disposed of in terms of the joint compromise memo. The appeal stands dismissed as against respondents 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, C.M.P.Nos.17217 and 17219 of 2022 are closed. (S.V.G., CJ.)
