PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, calling for the records in Na.Ka.2286/2019/B2 dated 16.08.2019 and quash the same as illegal and direct the 2nd respondent to give protection to the petitioner to perform the annual festival for Sri Unnja Marathu Karuparayan Kovil, Senjillapalayam, Shanthi Palayam Village, Nambiyur Taluk, Erode District on 03.09.2019. O R D E R

This petition has been filed to call for the records in Na.Ka.2286/2019/B2 dated 16.08.2019 and quash the same as illegal and direct the 2nd respondent to give protection to the petitioners to perform the annual festival for Sri Unnja Marathu Karuparayan Kovil, Senjillapalayam, Shanthi Palayam Village, Nambiyur Taluk, Erode District on 03.09.2019.

2. By an impugned order dated 16.08.2019, the 1st respondent permitted the other private respondents to perform the festival to be conducted till 10.09.2019. The learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 7 would submit that accordingly, the festival was conducted and it is now over. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

3. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
