This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 30.03.2022.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a complaint against one Senthil by alleging that he had cheated her by giving assurance that he would marry her; on an assurance to marry her, he had raped her on several occasions, but so far no action has been taken by the second respondent police.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner an enquiry has been conducted and the matter has been closed as no cognizable offence is made out.

However, the petitioner seems to have given the same complaint to the superior authority namely the first respondent and the said complaint was forwarded to the second respondent for enquiry. The second respondent has once again initiated enquiry in C.S.R.No.84 of 2022. Since the second respondent police had already conducted the enquiry and closed the matter, I do not feel that the second respondent police might do anything new now. The petitioner is at liberty to file appropriate proceedings before the Court by invoking Section 156(3) or 200 Cr.P.C. if she is so advised. 6.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
