ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 1 st to 3 rd respondents to instruct the respondents 4 to 7 to collect money from the petitioner for Arulmighu Sri Ponniamman, Sri Mariamman Koil Thiruvizha and also direct the Urchavar to stand in front of his house during Veedhiyzha based on the representation made by the petitioner dated 04.07.2025.

2. When the writ petition came up for hearing on 19.08.2025, this Court directed learned Additional Government Pleader to take instructions. Accordingly, learned Additional Government Pleader produced written instructions received from the 3 rd respondent. The relevant portions are extracted as follows,

It is made clear from the above that both the parties have already been called for a peace committee meeting, and during the festival on 22.07.2025, it was undertaken that the petitioner will be allowed to participate in the festival and no amount will be collected from the petitioner or any other person. Whatever regular practice is followed for all shall be extended to the petitioner also. Beyond this, no further orders can be passed.
