Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to renew the petitioner's gun bearing License No.HB-180 and Gun No.1612 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2022 and consequently direct the local police station, the 6th respondent to issue no objection certificate to maintain the licensed weapons in the safety locker.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner contends that he has applied for a renewal of his gun license, and submitted that the papers are pending with the authorities 2/5
from 10.11.2022.
3.Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik, the learned Government Advocate take notice for respondents 1, 3 and 4. Mr.N.Muthuvel, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice for respondents 2, 5 and 6. 4.The learned counsel for the respondents, on instruction of the sixth respondent, submitted that no such application is pending. 5.This Court now directs the petitioner to make a fresh application to the second respondent, and the second respondent is required to comply with the internal procedural formalities and dispose of the petitioner's application within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date on which the petitioner makes his representation / application for renewal of his gun license.
