Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 4.8.2016 made to the first respondent and consequently pass a direction to establish Combined Court Building at Thiruvottiyur based on the proposal sent by the office of the first respondent.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The actual transfer of land is stated to have been completed.

2. As far as alternative space to accommodate the Court building on rental basis is concerned, the suggestion made by the petitioner on 3.11.2016 has not been found feasible.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that there is another building which they have located, i.e., at Old Door No.28, New No.92-93-94, Sathankadu New Lane, Thiruvottiyur, Sathankadu Village, Chengalpet District. It is stated that the consent from the owner has also been obtained. The consent letter and plan have been handed over to the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.

4. The first respondent along with the Public Works Department will carry out an inspection and take a call on the feasibility of that premises within one month from today and if found feasible, subsequent action thereto should be completed within a period of three months thereafter.
