Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to regularize the services of the petitioners as Drivers notionally from the date of their original appointment and for all other purposes from 13.12.1995 as per the proposal sent by the third respondent herein in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 3648/2018/E1, dated 18.09.2018 based on the Resolution No. 2984/95, dated 13.12.1995 of the Greater Chennai Corporation, and the ratification order issued in G.O.Ms.No. 67 [Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (Ma.Na.3) Department, dated 24.04.1998 together with all consequential service and monetary benefits within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to regularize the services of the petitioners as drivers notionally from the date of their original appointment and for all 2/6
other purposes from 13.12.1995, as per the proposal sent by the third respondent herein in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 3648/2018/E1, dated 18.09.2018 based on the Resolution No. 2984/95, dated 13.12.1995 of the Greater Chennai Corporation, and the ratification order issued ink G.O.Ms.No. 67 [Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (Ma.Na.3) Department, dated 24.04.1998, together with all consequential service and monetary benefits within a time frame fixed by this Court. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that though a larger relief is prayed, it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents, to consider the petitioners' representation dated 18.08.2021, in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No. 6227 of 2022, in accordance with law and within the time stipulated by this Court.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer of the Counsel for the petitioners, a direction is issued to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioners' dated 18.08.2021, on merits, in accordance with law and in the light of the order passed in W.P.No. 6227 of 2022 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state, the petitioners are also permitted to submit a fresh representation along with a copy of the order in W.P.No. 6227 of 2022.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
