ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take immediate action following the petitioner's representations dated 23.06.2023 and 03.08.2023 under the Provisions of Tamil Nadu Mines and Minerals Rules, 1959 against the fourth respondent and prevent the continuation of illegal quarrying operations in Survey Nos.363 and 367, Palamathi Village, Vellore Taluk and District, belonging to the fourth respondent herein.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 23.06.2023 and 03.08.2023 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with

law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the fourth respondent herein, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
