Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to implement the judgment of the learned State Transport Appellate Tribunal at Chennai made in M.V.Appeal No.16 of 2012 dated 30.06.2012, renew the applications for the routes 1) Dharmapurti to Erode 2) Salem to Tiruppathur, 3) Salem to Hosur and 4) Hosur to Athippalli Border, forthwith petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2024. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to implement the judgment of the learned State Transport Appellate Tribunal at Chennai made in M.V.Appeal No.16 of 2012 dated 30.06.2012.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

On perusal of records revealed that the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Chennai, directed the first respondent to pass fresh order on the application submitted by the petitioner for renewal of permit. However, it is still pending on the file of the first respondent without passing any order.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the first respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and after giving an opportunity of hearing, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
