ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking a direction to the first respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.160 of 2014.
2. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.160 of 2014 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 452, 324, 323, 506 (ii) IPC r/w. 3(i)(r)(s) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Attrocities) Amendment Ordinance Act, 2014. However, the respondent police has not shown any interest to investigate the matter and lay a final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor sought for one month time for completing the investigation and to file a final report.
5. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and considering the fact that even though a special statute has been given that Investigating Officer has to investigate the matter and file a final report within a short spell of time, but the respondent police has not filed the report, I am of the view that it is a fit case for giving direction. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.160 of 2014 and file a final report, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
