ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to the respondents to remove the classification as Anathenam and restore patta No.2158 in the name of 1st petitioner in respect of land comprised in Survey No.37/1, measuring to an extent of 0.25.50 Hectares 63 cents, situated at Sigara alli Village, Dharmapuri District (hereinafter referred to as "subject property") by considering 1st petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2025 and 04.07.2025.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the 1st petitioner submitted representations dated 17.06.2025 and 04.07.2025 before the 1st and 2nd respondent respectively, seeking to change classification 2/6
as Anathenam and to restore patta No.2158 in 1st petitioner's name in respect of the subject property. However, 1st petitioner's representations was not considered by the respondents till date. Aggrieved by the same the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

The learned Special Government Pleader, Mr.A.Selvendran appearing for the respondents would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representations dated 17.06.2025 and 04.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the following directions;
i) The appropriate respondent authority shall consider the representations dated 17.06.2025 and 04.07.2025, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any.
ii) Though facts have been set out in affidavit, in view of the limited relief that is sought to be granted, I do not propose to 3/6
examine the same, lest it may influence the authority. The authority shall independently consider the facts and law set out in the representation and pass appropriate order in accordance with law including but not limited to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act and Rules.
iii) The petitioner's representations dated 17.06.2025 and 04.07.2025 shall be disposed of within a period of 16 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy.
iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open. 28.08.2025 Speaking (or) Non Speaking Order Index : Yes/ No spp 4/6
