ORDER

Mr.AR.Sakthivel, appearing for the respondent would submit that the passport of which the petitioner seeks re-issuance has been issued by the Regional Passport Officer at Madurai. Even in the application filed by the petitioner online for re-issuance of passport, the place of issue is stated as Madurai. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

The respondent counsel thus states that the Regional Passport Officer, Chennai does not have any instructions to furnish to him in the matter.

Incidentally, the respondent counsel states that he has contacted the Regional Passport Office at Madurai who informs him that there are certain queries that have been raised by the Enforcement Directorate and it is for this reason that the passport application of the petitioner has not been processed. In such circumstances, the petitioner will do well to approach that office and work out his remedies in a manner known to law. 4.

This writ petition is closed in terms of this order. No costs.
