ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Sriperumbudur, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.384 of 2014 on day to day basis within stipulated time period as may be fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the complaint given by his wife Lily Diana on 1.8.2013, a case was registered in Crime No.7 of 2013 as against the petitioner by the respondent police. After completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed in the said case before the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Sriperumbudur, and the same was taken on file as C.C.No.384 of 2014. Though the complaint is of the year 2013 and charge sheet was filed in the year 2014, the matter is periodically adjourned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and there is no progress in the said case. Hence, the petition.
3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the entire materials available on record.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Sriperumbudur, to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.384 of 2014 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
