O R D E R

The present Civil Revision Petition has been filed to fix a time to expedite the suit in O.S.No.3 of 2018 on the file of I Additional District and Sessions Court, Tindivanam.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the documents placed on record.

3. According to the petitioner, he is the plaintiff and the respondents are the defendants in O.S.No.3 of 2018. The said suit has been filed for specific performance and other consequential reliefs. Since the suit is pending for more than five years without any progress, the petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking earlier disposal.

4. On going through the documents it is seen that though the suit was filed in the year 2018 and the written statements were filed by the respondents 1 and 2; 12; 3 and 4 on 17.03.2022 and 22.11.2022 respectively and issues were framed on 02.08.2022. Further, the suit has been posted for trial. In the meanwhile, I.A.No.2 of 2023 has been filed to withdraw the proof affidavit and to file a fresh proof affidavit and the same is also pending.

Considering the fact that the trial has been commenced and the suit is pending from the year 2018 and taking note of the fact the written statements were taken on record and the issues were framed, the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tindivanam, shall complete the proceedings in O.S.No.3 of 2018 within a period of one year, i.e., on or before 31.08.2024.

6. In view of the above, the present Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
