ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus to forbear the respondents from interfering with the activities of the petitioner Association including 13 cards rummy at the premises of the petitioner Association.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a reputed person and is running an Association consisting of 752 members, by name 'Chennapuri Andhra Maha Sabha' without involving any illegal activity. Under these circumstances, without any reason, the third respondent Police interferes their activities. Hence, the petitioner gave a representation to the first respondent on 16.08.2022, which is pending. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents submitted that the representation dated 16.08.2022 of the petitioner before the first respondent is now forwarded to the third respondent and it is pending for consideration.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission itself, by directing the third respondent Inspector of Police, K-10 Police Station, Koyambedu, Chennai to consider the representation dated 16.08.2022 of the petitioner on merits and take action in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
