PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the First to Third Respondents to initiate necessary action against the fourth Respondent by considering the representation dated 10.04.2002 and consequently directing the Fourth Respondent not to issue further house tax Receipts in favour of the Fifth Respondent in respect of the property situated as S.No.161/*B* of an extent of 0-3 cents (1308) sq.ft. in Ponneri Village, Jolarpettai, Tiruvattur Taluk, Vellore District unitl outcome of the Civil Suits.

Mr.A.Prasanna Venkat representing Mr.A.Prabhakara Reddy, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that despite their best efforts, they are not in a position to contact the Petitioner and hence, he has no instructions to proceed further in this matter. The Petitioner does not appear to be interested to prosecute the Writ Petition further. Mr.S.Kamalesh Kannan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the First and Second Respondents is present and there is no representation for the Fifth to Sixth Respondents.

2. In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution, leaving it open to the Petitioner to apply for revival of the Writ Petition in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
