ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to mutate the revenue records as per the title deed executed in favour of the petitioner on 31.01.1992 in Document No.33 / 1992 on the file of SRO on Bhuvanagiri, considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2024 in accordance with law.
2. Heard both sides. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner acquired a house property in old Survey No.95/1 and new Survey No.168/3 at Ayyipuram Village, Bhuvanagiri Taluk, Cuddalore District, to an extent of 3420 Sq.ft, through partition deed executed by the petitioner's mother on 31.01.1992. From then onwards, the petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. The petitioner obtained patta in his name for the subject property in Patta No.282 from the third respondent. But, while mutating patta, instead of entering extent as 3420 Sq.ft. of land, it has been wrongly mentioned as 2454 Sq.ft. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 11.07.2024, to the second respondent seeking rectification of revenue records with regard to the extent of the Page No.2 of 4
property. But, the same has not been considered by the second respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader who is taking notice for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2024 would be considered on its own merits within a time stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of this case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2024 and pass final order on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
