PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to produce the person or body of the petitioner's wife, namely Mrs.Kaviyadharshini, Daughter of Ganesh, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.S.RAMESH.J,) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to produce the person or body of the petitioner's wife, namely Mrs.Kaviyadharshini, daughter of Ganesh, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.

2. The petitioner's wife, who is 21 years old, has expressed that she does not intend to live with the petitioner herein and is now staying with her parents.

3. It is also brought to our notice that the petitioner's wife has initiated divorce proceedings before the appropriate Court. In this background, it would not be appropriate to entertain the prayer sought for in the present petition.

4. Taking into consideration the wishes expressed by a major, touching upon her place of stay, no orders are required to be passed on the relief sought for in the petition.

5. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
