ORDER

The petitioner herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 143(2) of BNS Act in Crime No.67 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that it is alleged that on 16.06.2023, the defacto complainant was asked by one Rajdeep Santhu to approach the accused persons to get an employment abroad and consequently the defacto complainant was sent to Singapore and she was forced to dance in a club instead of the promised job of "Make-up Woman" and she was tortured by the club manager in Singapore and thus she lodged the complaint against the accused persons.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police filed the counter and the relevant portion reads as follows:

"6. It is respectfully submitted that during the course of investigation, a letter was sent to the Regional Passport Officer, Chennai, requesting the details pertaining to 20 passport file numbers. Upon receipt of the said information, the same will be verified to ascertain whether any of the victim were illegally trafficked to foreign countries.

7. It is submitted that during the course of investigation, 2/4

in which reveals that the accused persons were gave a false promise to victim girl for persons job in foreign countries. But the accused persons were illegally trafficking the victims to other foreign countries and forced the victims to do prostitution at bar and restaurant.

8. It is respectfully submitted that the specific overt act attributed to the petitioner / Accused No.6 is that he, in collusion with the co-accused persons, facilitated the procurement of passports for the victim girls and falsely assured them of securing legitimate employment opportunities abroad. However, under the guise of such false promises, he was involved in the illegal trafficking of the victims to foreign countries, where they were subsequently forced into prostitution at a bar and restaurant."

4. Taking note of the said observations, this Court is not inclined to grant of bail for this petitioner. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
