This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. On the complaint given by one Ravi alleging that the petitioner herein has received advance for sale of property but failed to convey the property or return the advance, the petitioner been called by the police for enquiry. Alleging that civil dispute been given criminal colour, the petitioner herein is seeking protection from the police harassment.

3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents states that a complaint was received from one Ravi alleging that in the year 2015 he entered into a sale agreement with the petitioner herein to purchase 1.76 acres of land for consideration of Rs.29,04,000/- but the petitioner herein has not come forward to execute the sale deed after receiving the balance sale consideration. After enquiry, the complaint petition been closed being a civil dispute given criminal colour after 9 years of the said transaction.

Recording the above statement of the Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent that the police has closed the petition against this petitioner and there is no reason to suspect that the police is harassing the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 21.08.2024 Index : Yes/No.
