O R D E R

This Writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2021 and give protection to him and his wife from the fourth respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he sent a representation dated 02.11.2021 seeking police protection, but the respondent Police has not take any action on his complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on the complaint of the petitioner, CSR.No.463 of 2021 was assigned on 03.11.2021. After investigation, a case has been registered in Crime No.20 of 2021, against the fourth respondent viz., Vetrivel. Further, the fourth respondent was arrested and warned and he has given an undertaking that he will not cause any harassment and threat to the petitioner and to his wife viz., Kanagarani.

4. In view of the same, it is made clear that the petitioner being a senior citizen, if he come across any threat, he shall contact the respondent Police and immediately, the respondent Police shall take necessary action and give protection to him.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
