This petition is filed to extend two weeks time to deposit a sum of Rs.90,00,000/- of the arrears of fair rent as directed by this Court vide order dated 21.06.2023.

The case of the petitioner is that this Court by order dated 21.06.2023 directed to pay a sum of Rs.90,00,000/- of arrears of fair rent fixed by the Trial Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order to the account of R.C.O.P.No.10 of 2017 on the file of the learned Rent Control Kanchipuram. On deposit of such amount, the learned Principal Subordinate Judge is directed to deposit the above said amount in fixed deposit in any one of the Nationalised Bank. The Sub Court can take a decision on this deposit and the same can be dealt at the time of final disposal of the R.C.O.P.No.10 of 2017. The learned Principal Subordinate Judge was also further directed to dispose of the R.C.A.No. 1 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible, not later than four weeks 1/3

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the Rent Control Appellate Authority has returned the lodgment schedule by stating that since the order states that the learned Principal Sub Judge, Kanchipuram is directed to deposit the amount in a Nationalised Bank and not before the Rent Control Appellate Authority. Hence this petition.

In view of the above, this petition is ordered with a direction to the learned Principal Sub ordinate Judge Kanchipuram/ Rent Control Appellate Authority to receive the arrears amount and re-deposit the same in a Nationalized Bank as fixed deposit within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
