ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction, directing the respondents to register a case, investigate the matter, pertaining to the complaint given by him on 27.01.2016 and to deal according to law.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint to the respondents on 20.11.2015, 24.12.2015 and 27.01.2016, stating that he is a subscriber of a chit company namely, 'Chitiram Chits Private Limited' but, however, the police had not taken any steps to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

register a case and hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief.

3. At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that based on the complaint given by one Mr.Narayanan, who is one of the subscriber in the 'Chitiram Chits Private Limited', a case in Crime No.01 of 2016 has been registered for the offences under Section 5 of TNPID Act and Sections 406, 420 and 120(B) I.P.C. against the Chitiram Chits Private Limited and two others. It is further submitted that in the said chit company, there are 950 subscribers and the total amount involved is Rs.8 crores and the investigation is going on. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would further submit that the complaints given by the petitioner have not been received and therefore, he may be directed to give a fresh complaint.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh complaint to the respondents forthwith and the petitioner is also directed to co-operate for enquiry.
