ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.17294 of 2016 dated 13.10.2016 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Chennai.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was granted bail by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Chennai, in Crl.M.P.No.17294 of 2016 by order dated 13.10.2016 on certain conditions. One of the conditions is that he shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the said Court. Since the petitioner is not able to execute the bond for Rs.10,000/- with two sureties for the like sum, he is not in a position to avail the benefit of the said order. Hence, seeking modification of the said order, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.
3. However, this Court is not inclined to modify the said condition (i). Instead, this Court is inclined to modify condition No.(ii), viz., the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10.00 a.m. for a period of four months i.e., till 12.2.2017.
4. Accordingly, condition No.(ii) imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.17294 of 2016 dated 13.10.2016 by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Chennai, is hereby modified to the effect that "the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police once in a week i.e., on every Sunday at 10.00 a.m., till 12.2.2017. The other conditions shall remain unaltered.
The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
