ORDER
This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings of the 3 rd Respondent dated 26.10.2018, wherein the request made by the petitioner for issuing the legal heirship certificate on the demise of the Late. G. Sriramulu was rejected.
2. There is absolutely no explanation on the side of the petitioners as to why it took the petitioners such a long time to approach this Court when the impugned proceedings have been issued by the 3 rd Respondent as early as in the year 2018.
3. The Learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the 1 st Petitioner is the second wife of Late. G. Sriramulu, and she is none other than the sister of the First Wife, and she married G. Sriramulu after the demise of her sister. The Learned Counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the Petitioners 2 to 4 are the children of the First Wife, and Petitioners 5 to 7 are the children of the Second Wife.

In light of the above stand taken by the learned Counsel for the petitioners, there shall be a direction to the petitioners to submit a fresh application before the 3 rd Respondent, giving all the particulars and by filing the relevant documents. Insofar as the Petitioners 2 to 7 are concerned, there must be no difficulty in adding their names in the legal heirship certificate, since they
are admittedly the children of the First and Second Wives. An enquiry has to be conducted only insofar as the 1 st Petitioner is concerned.
5. The specific case of the petitioners is that the First Petitioner was married to the deceased Late. G. Sriramulu after the demise of the First Wife, who is none other than the sister of the First Petitioner. After this fact is established, the name of the First Petitioner shall also be added in the legal heirship certificate. The process shall be completed by the 3 rd Respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh application submitted by the petitioners seeking legal heirship certificate.
6. This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed. 23-07-2025 gd Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
