Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose the representation dated 02.12.2011 made by the petitioners.

For Petitioners : Ms.N.Indhumathi For Respondents : Mr.M.S.Ramesh Addl.Govt.Pleader C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners were appointed as Communication Officers by the Assistant Director of Animal Husbandry, Thakkalai. The petitioners were given training for 12 days about Vaccination and First Aid. The petitioners were expecting that they would be recruited to the post of Assistant in Animal Husbandry Department taking into account the training undergone by them.

2. According to the petitioners, the Animal Husbandry Department recruited 400 similarly situated persons on the basis of the Government Order in G.O.(Ms)No.132 Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (AH1) Department, dated 06.10.2008. It is the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

grievance of the petitioners that their cases were not considered for appointment and virtually, respondents 1 and 2 flouted the Government Order in G.O.(Ms)No.132 dated 06.10.2008. The petitioners therefore submitted a representation on 02.12.2011 requesting the second respondent to consider their candidature for appointment taking into account the earlier appointment as indicated above and Vaccination and First Aid training undergone by them. Since the said representation was not taken up for consideration, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 02.12.2011 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The petitioners are directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 02.12.2011 along with a copy of this order so as enable the second respondent to dispose of the matter within the cut-off date prescribed by this Court.

5. The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
