ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed with the prayer to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to include the name of the petitioner in the promotional panel for the post of Assistant Quality Inspector for the year 2021 vide proceedings number AE 13/54627/ 2021 dated 21.04.2022 on the file of 2nd respondent and also to grant promotion in accordance with his seniority. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was initially appointed as a Bill clerk and thereafter he was regularized with effect from 24.02.2014. He has further submitted that he has possessed with the required qualification and later appointed as Junior Quality Inspectior at Theni on 06.02.2016 and also passed departmental examination for commercial book keeping Test in August 2021.
Therefore, it is the contention of the petitioner that he ought to have been considered for the Promotional panel in the year 2021 to the post of Assistant Quality Inspector. However, the 2nd respondent on the ground that the petitioner did not pass the departmental exams, and have not included his name. It is contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner has passed the required departmental test for the panel in the year 2021 itself. Hence, he has given representation to the respondents on 21.05.2025 in this regard.
3.At this juncture, the Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has given the said representation only in the year 2025 and hence, there is no merit in the present writ petition. However, they will consider the representation according to its own merit. 4.In such view of the submissions, this Court without going into the merits, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
