Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2022 and provide electricity service new connection to the petitioner's property situated at in Survey No.401/1, 403/2, 404/2 at No.134, Perunkalathur Village, Saidapet Taluk, presently Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpet District measuring about 5.56 Acres.

ORDER

The petitioner had been assigned lands by the 5th and 6th respondents/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram and the Tahsildar, Tambaram situated at Survey Nos.404/1, 403/2 and 404/2 at No.134, Perungalathur Village, Tambaram Taluk in Chengalpet District.

2. The petitioner now seeks electricity connection and had given a representation to the respondents on 05.09.2022. 2/5

3. The learned Standing Counsel who had taken notice on behalf of the 1st, 3rd and 4th respondents/TANGEDCO stated that the petitioner has to apply for a fresh service connection through online with necessary documents and necessary proof for his title/possession/assignment.

4. The petitioner is therefore directed to give a fresh application through online on or before 03.02.2023. If such application is filed through online, then the 4th respondent, the Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, Tambaram, Chennai may examine the said application, and if there are some defects, inform the same to the petitioner, and after examining the entire file, pass necessary orders. The entire process should be completed on or before 06.03.2023.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above said observations. No order as to costs.
