Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate action against the 3rd respondent for illegally constructing the Mariamman Temple in the Center of Middle Street, Anjanjeri Village, Mel Edaiyalam Post, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District without obtaining any approval from concerned government officials.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondent 1 and 2 and Mr.C.Munusamy, learned counsel for the third respondent.
2. It is submitted that the temple is on the street.
3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that S.No.52/1 is classified as Mariamman temple. S.No.52/2 measures 426 sq.m. and the same is street. The temple has been existing on the said survey
number for the last 60 years. The said temple is in a dilapidated condition and the village people decided to renovate the same. The third respondent constructed a mandapam by encroaching the land. Survey was conducted on 21.08.2023 and Form 7 was issued to the encroacher on 23.09.2023.
4. In view of the above statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.23828 of 2023 is closed.
