By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the representation dated 14.11.2024 and disburse the balance compensation amount to petitioner.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner purchased the lands comprised in Survey No.9/1, OS No.482 and RS No.216/1, situated at Kovilpathu village, Karaikal Taluk vide registered sale deeds in Document No.1268/93 dated 03.09.1993 and in Document No.1297/94 dated 07.06.1994 on the file of SRO, Karaikal. The said lands were acquired by the Government for the purposes of construction of Government Offices and an award fixing the compensation of Rs.49,05,118/- was passed on 18.05.2007. It is submitted that a portion of the award amount has already been paid except a sum of Rs.6,08,325/-. Hence, petitioner submitted a representation dated 14.11.2024 before the second respondent seeking disbursement of balance compensation. However the said representation has not been considered so far. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the present 2/5
writ petition.
4. At the outset, it was submitted by the Additional Government Pleader for respondents that the representation dated 14.11.2024 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, the third respondent shall consider the representation dated 14.11.2024 of the petitioner, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other interested parties and pass orders, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
